Company milestones
1989
The company is founded with the aim of becoming a Global Leader in the production of top-of-the-range massage chairs and Health Care products. The first Keyton massage chairs were manufactured in Japan, subsequently expanding their production throughout Europe.
1990
Keyton launched its first research and development programmes in Europe in order to create new massage systems more in keeping with Western tastes.
1993
Keyton patented the first ergonomic massage robot, which provided a robotised Shiatsu massage able to automatically adapt the massage to each individual’s needs.
Production begin on massage robots and chairs in Europe.
Keyton invested heavily in creating new designs that would set trends, and launched the models Silhouette and Toronto.
1994
The success of our massage chairs in Europe significantly boosted sales and also sparked major expansion throughout almost all European countries.
1996

1997
The Verona design is launched in Europe along with the first multimassage system technology (MMS).
An elite team of professionals was recruited to lead the creation of designs that would set future trends.
1998
In order to raise the profile of the Keyton brand at points of sale, a new business concept was presented, encompassing exhibitors, large advertising displays and training for sales teams in order to develop "Keyton Corners" or ‘in-store shops’.
1999
In order to continue setting itself apart from the competition, Keyton invented and presented the first remote control system via radio with a two-directional interactive interface, capable of controlling all the chairs' functions without the need for wires, and displaying the information on-screen in real time.
The Tecno design was launched.
2000
Keyton became the first company in the world to demonstrate the benefits of its massage chairs through clinical trials run by the Polytechnic University of Valencia. The results of these trials exceeded even the expectations of the research team.
2001
The Moon design was launched.
2002
Following three years of development, the Keyton Concept massage chair is launched, revolutionising the world of design. This chair went on to become a point of reference for the specialist press.
2003
The Financial Times newspaper carried a major feature article about the design and quality of Keyton massage chairs.
Keyton launched the first chair in the world to incorporate two massage concepts simultaneously, a combined massage system with a high comfort system.
2004
The famous British newspaper the Daily Mail called Keyton "the Rolls-Royce of massage chairs", which led to the rapid rise of Keyton’s brand positioning in the international market along with a major increase in sales.
Keyton patented a new revolutionary technology called Sensor Scan, which scans the back and customises the massage to the needs of each individual.
The Innova design was launched.
2005
Keyton patented a new technology called SensorFT; this new exclusive mobile head massage system was the first technology able to adapt automatically to the shoulder area. It provides an incredible feeling of relaxation never achieved before, thanks to the preciseness and depth of massage provided in the area around the neck and shoulders. The new mobile heads can change their massage position from 75º to 140º angles, which allows them to adapt to the shoulder and neck areas.
Prime time television programmes began to use various Keyton massage chairs on their sets because of their unique design.
In a bid to continue setting trends in the world of design, two new models were presented, called Dune and Dynamic, with an emphasis on the use of fine materials such as solid oak and wengue.
Keyton was awarded the ISO 9001:2000 quality certificate.
2006
Keyton patent the first 3D leg massage system SensorFT-2. An innovative leg massage system capable of a wide range of movements, providing a totally natural massage that improves circulation.
The Class design was launched.
Keyton massage chairs began to be distributed in the US through our network of official distributors.
2007
According to results of all the surveys conducted, Keyton has secured its position as the leading brand in technology and top-of-the-range rest and relaxation products. Continuing along the path of a world leader, this year Keyton launched a Cosmo chair designed by the prestigious Italian studio Giugiaro Design.
Keyton open its first flagship store in Madrid.
2008
Keyton will launch three new business ranges under the name "Business Health Care Solutions";
1 - "Automated intersegmental massage tables" with variable pressure, designed as an additional therapeutic tool for doctors, physiotherapists, rehabilitation centres and hospitals.
2 - "Massage tables for beauty treatments", especially developed to be combined with the various different spa protocols and treatments in beauty and health clinics.
3 - "Automated massage rooms" designed to reduce workers' levels of stress in companies, improving the health of employees in the workplace. These rooms are a further step in the continuous corporate responsability commitment.
